The African Essence Spa and Gym are the latest additions to the Richards Hotel. At reception you are most likely to be greeted by the two lovely ladies Chernay and Roxanne, two passionate staff members who, "live the brand and love what they do" as Debbie Holtzhausen, the owner and manager at the Spa would correctly put it.
On my visit there recently, I was warmly welcomed by the two ladies and the pleasant aroma of the Africolagy and Nimue essences permeating the spa. The Spa consists of a Wet room, two therapy rooms with en suite shower and washing areas, an entrance to the Gym, and a Garden patio area with a 6m jacuzzi.
In the Wet Room, there is a Steam Cabinet and Hydro-therapy Jet bath, in which detoxing, destressing and slimming treatments can be incorporated.
In the therapy Rooms, you have the choice of various pampering body or beauty treatments. Why not opt for a romantic indulgence and bring your partner and be pampered together.
Both rooms have a pleasant ambiance, rich in African colours and seeped in Aficology aromas to tantalize your senses and rejuvenate tired bodies and minds.
The Garden Patio deck, is a heavenly lounging area to enjoy a drink or lunch of the Hotel's menu after a massage, or to relax in the 6m jacuzzi.
For Corporate bookings the Spa is prepared to close the front doors and offer the whole spa for the luxury and enjoyment of their clients.
African Essence Spa makes use of Proudly South African products only, products made in South Africa specifically for our climate and harsh conditions.
Body Treatments offered include, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hot stone massages, Indian head massages, Spa back treatments, Back Fusion Massages, detoxifying, slimming and remineralising Body wraps, full body scrubs, Whirlpool Jet Bath and steam treatments and many more.
Beauty Treatments, hair removal treatments, Pedicures, Manicures, special spa packages and Bridal packages are also available.
