Safari Bird watching and Fishing Safaris
Were on one piece of land in the Karoo can you start your day do fishing on Karp , Catfish , Mogel and Yellow fish then take your camera and enlarge you bird gallery on 200 different bird and visit the hippo pool to see the only karoo hippos.

Karoo Birding route
In the conservancy we have a mapped birding route with guiding notes and a written guide to guide you to the special bird you are looking for. Over a period we have identified 256 birds on the land this list being influenced by the month, rainfall and Evan winds. The climate in anther parts of the country and world also influence our birdlife. The divergent vegetation type combined with geographical diversities help to accommodate more specie, we have mountains, standing water and plains to support there habitat.

We are bloucrane custodians with many of this bird nesting on the land and up to 300 visiting us in August. Interesting sights as the lesserkesteral attacking locusts, the black eagle nest in a tree, fish eagles in the karoo and burchels corsa are some of our specialities. We will pack you a picnic basket and you can work thru our birding list and map in your own time and do a self-drive route.

Star Gazing, Camping & Nightwalks
We can arrange a star weekend with Louis Barendse of Big Skies Astronomy. This can be a beginners course in stare gazing, a broad introduction to astronomy in the southern skies or a specialised course through the galaxies.
