The Breede River Resort & Fishing Lodge is a hidden jewel of the Western Cape, South Africa. Situated in Witsand at the mouth of the mighty Breede River which flows into St Sebastian Bay, it is witness to the greatest concentration of Southern Right Whales in the world during the winter months.

The Breede River, which is the largest river in South Africa (volume wise) and is the longest estuary in South Africa with the sea water pushing 50 kilometers up river, offers unparalleled fishing both in the river and at sea. The whole area has a surreal beauty with white beaches, open farm lands, a river mouth the size of a lagoon, nature reserves and many historical sites.
